The Jim Byrd Memorial Clinic is hosted annually by Fairway Outreach and its Honorary Chairman Jonathan Byrd. The clinic gives our youth the opportunity to watch and learn from some of the best players on the PGA Tour, PGA Teaching Professionals and other Influential individuals in the game of golf. Participants listen to players talk about golf, life on the tour and their Christian faith.
The 2011 Guest List includes US Open Champion Lucas Glover, PGA Tour Professional and Columbia Native Charles Warren as well as 5 Time PGA Tour Winner and Honorary Chair Jonathan Byrd.
Past Guests include 2007 Master Champion Zach Johnson, 5 Time PGA Tour winner Jonathan Byrd, 2009 PGA Teacher of the Year Mike Bender, and Dr. Morris Pickens, a noted sports psychologist and author.
The Clinic is part of the Jim Byrd Memorial Tournament that is hosted by AT&T and The Members Club at Wildewood and Woodcreek Farms. The tournament honors the late Jim Byrd and all of the wonderful things he stood for.
